Chalet des Montagnes
Ski in / ski out to within 80 metres of the chalet and only a short walk from the centre of Morzine. With 7 (or 9) ensuite bedrooms, this is the largest catered high-quality chalet in our Morzine accommodation portfolio. Very spacious, benefitting from panoramic mountain views and superb facilities including a magnificent outdoor hot tub and heated terrace. Sleeps 14-17 in the main chalet only, or up to a maximum of 21 including the ground floor apartment.

Situated in a prime location below the slopes on the Pleney side of Morzine, Chalet des Montagnes is a large, luxurious catered chalet with stunning outdoor hot tub, heated covered terrace and magnificent alpine views. It is possible to ski-in / ski-out to within only 80 metres of the front door (snow conditions permitting). The main Morzine Pleney lift and village centre are an easy 10 minute walk. For your convenience, we also provide a pre and post-skiing minibus shuttle service, should you not wish to walk or ski from/to the chalet.
Privately-owned by Simply Morzine itself, the alpine-style Chalet des Montagnes is our flagship property and “nerve centre” of the company’s operations. Traditionally chocolate-box in appearance inside and out, this is one of the largest and well-maintained catered chalets in Morzine – perfect for groups and room by room bookings.
One of the chalet’s most attractive features is the open-plan living area, complete with feature fireplace with log burner, well-stocked honesty bar and tea/coffee station. This room is beautifully furnished yet warm and cosy. Quality and comfortable sofas offer ample seating, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. There is a flat screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, books and traditional board games.
The lounge area opens on to an impressive covered and heated terrace, with a balcony sweeping around the whole front of the chalet. These afford exceptional picture-postcard views across Morzine and up towards the distant winter lights of our sister resort Avoriaz. There is also a small separate TV / playroom in case the children would like their own space away from the adults!
A separate ‘Shackleton’ themed dining area is roomy enough to seat a maximum of 20 people. Here the perfect mountain holiday dinner-party ambiance is created, against the backdrop of lovely uninterrupted views of the Morzine valley across to Avoriaz.
Leading down to the chalet garden and grounds, French doors in the dining room open onto decking with large outdoor luxury hot tub (shared with Apartment Montagnes). Admire the snow-clad alpine panorama whilst you unwind in the jacuzzi with a cold drink at the end of a hard day on the slopes.
Chalets of this size and quality are extremely rare in Morzine. Because of this, Chalet des Montagnes is popular with larger groups looking to book a catered chalet in Morzine for exclusive occupancy. However the chalet can sometimes be booked by couples, families or smaller groups of friends on a room by room basis. These ‘shared chalet’ weeks are always a great success. There are 7 bedrooms in the main chalet (including a family suite) offering a maximum capacity of 17 guests. A further 2 bedrooms (plus second lounge area) are available in the downstairs apartment if required, which allows for a maximum group size of 21. The apartment can also be booked separately on a self-catered basis.
All bedrooms have their own private bathroom and are of a similar size. They are tastefully furnished, warm and cosy. Luxury linen, towels, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries are provided.
There is a ski store and drying room with heated boot warmers to guarantee a warm start before your day on the slopes. The total plot size is 1000 m2. The grounds offer a large driveway with parking for several cars, along with private landscaped gardens.
