Simply Morzine live on BBC News & BBC 2 – Covid-19 Omicron variant

It was a privilege to be invited to speak live with Victoria Derbyshire on BBC News and BBC Two about the lifting of the French travel ban for tourists from the UK.

We were contacted by the BBC following the news that vaccinated travellers would no longer need a compelling reason to enter France and would not have to self-isolate when they arrive.

France brought in the restrictions on 18th December 2021 in an attempt to slow the spread of the Omicron variant, just as we were set to open for the winter ski season 2021/22.

Our interview was broadcast across the UK and the world on Friday 14th January 2022.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused a difficult 22 months for everyone in Morzine and the wider ski industry. We thank all our guests for their continued support.
