Booking Engine Options
This page shows the 4 different booking widgets that Chalet Manager offers. They are embedded in a page as blocks of html code. I’ve used Chalet Carving as a demo.
The styling of them is very limited – this is basically as good as it gets ( I think). I’ve submitted a feature request to allow us to add our own CSS styling and they have agreed it would be useful. They have said they might consider adding that feature at some point in the future, maybe. Who knows?
I think the page they get embedded will need to contain the CSS for styling them. The pre-configured themes are all pretty similar. All we can really change are the colours of text and buttons.
See the video below which shows these options.
You could include the CSS within the HTML code blocks I guess, but it’s a bit of a messy way of doing it.
The other option would be to link to the booking engine as a separate entity in its own window and let people search for availability across all properties, rather than the widgets below that focus on one property only.
The page for this is here.
Opening the booking engine in its own window keeps things simpler, but obviously this means you have no control over the styling at all.
